I just started geodon in the last week. Already I like it better than the zyprexa that I have been taking since '98. I'm almost totaly off the zyprexa. Been taking 5 or less for the past week. I'm on 3.75 and may go down to 2.5. I was on 10 mg. I'm taking 2x60 mg of geodon.

I love hearing someone say their medication IS working with so many meds often failing so many people. I was briefly on zyprexa, too, and gained weighted and developed akathisia. Fun. Now I'm on Abilify and quite pleased with the results. For you, what was bad or unpleasant about zyprexa? How is Geodon superior? Sorry to pry...I'm just curious. Again, congratulations on finding a med that works well for you.

I had been taking zyprexa for so long, I just needed a change. Plus the no weight gain of geodon.
