effexor and decision making

Has anyone had a similar experience with effexor?

I started effexor after being on another antidpressant for a number of years. Within days of starting I felt "very well" but looking back I was actually very "high" verging on "manic" for a number of months. During this time my decision making skills were not reliable.

Although I have suffered from depression for a number of years I have never experienced a "high" like this.
