Hi,
My neurologist put me on Trileptal for nerve damage and pain in my lower leg. But I found that it helps with my anxiety and OCD.
Started out at 300mg and have progessively worked my way up to 1,800mg. My neurologist says that I can go as high as 2,400mg which is the max. dose.
I think I would benefit from the increase. But I am hesitant. B/C I already take Lexapro, Remeron, and Klonopin.
Both my pdoc and my neurologist know about all of my medications.
So, I was seeking advice on raising the dosage of my Trileptal from 1,800mg to 2,400mg. My neurologist says it is a very safe med.
But I am hesitant because I am on so many other medications.
Anyones comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you found that Trileptal lowers your nerve pain? What was your pain level before Trileptal (1-10) and now while on Trileptal?
Also, does Trileptal cause you any memory problems?
I would follow the advice of your neurologist yet listen carefully to your body for feedback on how you respond.

Thanks for your response and concern. My nerve pain was at about a 7 when I was at rest (meaning setting still or trying to go to sleep). But as long as I was on my leg and working I didn't notice the pain to much.
As far as memory lose. I haven't had any of that.
