They should be able to prescribe lorazepam..tell you'd like to try it for short term until you've been assessed more and that you have read about it online..

Just a thought CC..it could be best to see the doc alone..with your mum in the waiting room.
because your mums prescence may make you feel more relaxed ..then the doc doesn't see the full anxiety.
Just a thought..good luck.

Crazychick,

10mg of Zyprexa used to really help me, now and again, try and get your doc to prescribe this for you. Don't take it all the time, just when you're desperate.

I'm from the UK and I know what it's like, I remember ringing the NHS psychiatrist's secretary telling her I needed to speak to the Psychiatrist because I was suicidal and desperate and she just told me he was too busy!

Fortunately my insurance covers me to go private, but I've tried about 6 different ones so far.

So that's how it goes, you need to find yourself a good one. Where abouts in the UK are you?

Denise

Crazychick,

10mg of Zyprexa will take all of those feelings away, it used to for me. Just take it when you're desperate and then hopefully edventually something else will work for you.

Hope you feel better soon, I know what it's like.

Denise
