Hi!

Xanax isn't available on the National Health service in the UK.

Ignorance of klonopin in the UK is really annoying. Its really narrow minded - I know that klonopin would be better than valium for me, and no more dangerous, yet valium is the only name doctors dare utter.

There are plenty of other benzos in the UK though.....eg. Chlordiazepoxide (Librium), oxazepam (Serax), Lorazepam (Ativan) etc. You might not prefer Klonopin at all!

I can not agree more...after trying tens of benzodiazepines,I can not subscribe to the view that clonazepam is the greatest....

everyone is different, and all benzos have been useful to millions of people + they are very safe medicantions and there is no "safe" benzo and "dangerous" benzo.

It is a pity to label such tried and helpful medications this way...I myself took all the famous "dreaded"!! benzos :

Valium,Ativan,Xanax & ROHYPNOL (Flunitrazepam),which is regarded as a bad medicine and "rape" drug and found them all good and useful (of coursre I have my preferences).

My benzo list in alphabitical order :
Alprazolam
Bentazepam
Bromazepam
Brotizolam
Cinolazepam
Clobazam
Cloxazolam
Chlordiazepoxide
Clorazepate
Clonazepam
Delorazepam
Diazepam
Estazolam
Flunitrazepam
Ketazolam
Lormetazepam
Lorazepam
Midazolam
Nitrazepam
Oxazepam
Prazepam
Tetrazepam
Triazolam
Tofisopam
+ Zopiclone &Zolpidem

So..hang on and all you gotta do is find your own favorite.

Regards,
Adam

Actually I have 3 equally great for me :

Lorazepam(temesta/ativan)max dose : 1-2 mg 2 times a day. works in an hour.Half life average 12.

Alprazolam (Xanax) : max dose 0.5 3 times a day.Works in an hour.Half-life average 8.

Bromazepam (Lexotanil/Lexotan/Lectopam/Neo-opt/Lexomil): max dose 3mg 3 times a day.Works within 2 hours.Half life average 20.

Potency : Alprazol. 0.5= 1 Loazep. = 3 Bromazep.

All are excellent for Panic,GAD,ruminations, depressive ideas,SP.Main difference :

- Lorazepam : more amnestic,better for sleep.

- Alprazolam : more antidepressant effect.

- Bromazepam : least sedative,least withdrawal symptoms (long-term use).

Adam
