Okay, I have done the switch to Wellbutrin. Yes, the withdrawals have not been pleasant. However, I was curious to see how people viewed Wellbutrin. I have tried Paxil, then Effexor, and now this. I read that it has alot of possibilities of seizure. Great - that will make me feel better. I am only taking 300mg so far. I thought about tapering off all together and trying to experience life the real way. I just have always had bad mood swings - almost like night and day in a matter of minutes. The only thing I was diagnosed with was anxiety and insomnia.

I'm on both effexor and wellbutrin. I would have thought your switching from one to the other an odd choice given your dx? since the WB makes me jumpy and prevents me from sleeping... yowza can our reactions to a med be that different??

Hi Olivia - I also take both Wellbutrin and Effexor as part of my cocktail. For me the Wellbutrin is energizing (I need all the energizing I can get with my lethargy). I have to agree that it does seem an odd choice when you are suffering from anxiety and insomnia. It doesn't keep me awake (the house falling down on top of me couldn't keep me awake) but I can definitely see how it would for someone with a tendency toward insomnia. I also am presently taking
I really hope your experience will be different. I have seen others post on this board that Wellbutrin is sedating for them.
