I am observing a family member who was prescribed Geodon after taking Lithium for over 30 years. Mood Changed from quiet and snappy to excited and happy...Who has an idea on a proper dosage? I think this person might need a little more..this med was prescribed as: Take one at night and prn for mania... 80 mg caps. No complaints on this drug action though..The happiness and freedom that I see in this beautiful person is remarkable..I am finding adjusting to this new personality is like having someone TOTALLY different in my life...

Hi,
I haven't used Geodon myself, but it's generally well regarded by it's customers. The person taking it will ultimately find the best doseage. I would spend at least one month at each doseage until the best amount can be determined.

I am so excited to get a reply. I have asked my husband (he's taking the geodon) to increase his dosage by taking 20mg bid. He has done that for 2 days. This medication is remarkable..it seems to have given him his life back. I am so grateful for this change. I am networking with two of his friends at work to help him stablize. My husband is aware of this and welcomes the help...another change from past behaviour.I take Lexapro. I have cried at least once every other day for all of my life...and usually a lot more often. The harder I tried to control it..the worse it got. One day I was in my doctors office and I just started crying...and she prescribed Lexapro...I have no more anxiety attacks.I have no more abnormal crying...for me it is a miracle drug..now for both my husband and I to be more..level...that would truly be a miracle...
