I got pretty tired. I had to end up going to bed real early that night. So, i was thinking of taking it in the pm. What is the half life? If i take it at night will it do me any good during the day? I'm starting out at 60mg which seems kind of high but i'm trusting the pdoc on that. I was on 1mg of risperdal nightly. So, basically any experiences with Geodon would be greatly apreciated. Thanks

Now that I read that you were on 1mg of Risperdal, the 60mg of Geodon sounds really high. Not sure about the half life, but it isn't real short because my pdoc said you can skip a day. I take only one dose at night and it seems to help.

How much do you take? 60mg did seem high to start out at but i'm going to trust my pdoc. 1mg of the risperdal was a baby dose. But 60mg when i read they say to start at 20mg, seemed high. i may put a call into my pdoc. I'm going to see him in two weeks so i was going to give it a shot and if it's too much then i'll talk with him about lowering it. But, i may not wait. Something bugs me about starting so high. I'll have to think about that one. I try to keep with my gutt feeling on things. can the geodon be cut in half? I need to go check out what type of pill it is again to see if it can be cut. maybe i can cut it in half?

Geodon comes in capsules.
You need to take it twice a day (I know this from experience).
60 mg is not much; I take 160 mg. It is a fairly gentle drug once you get over the EPS.
I have been on Geodon since 2001.
