my dr.wants me to increase my dosage to 60, but i am afraid of intial side effects.Should i do it? I do still depressed and i am on 40mg.Been on that for about 2months.

Yes. You should definitely increase it to 60 since you are still depressed on 40. A lot of people take 60 mg or more of Prozac.

Hi Lexman,
You will be fine. A small percentage of people are very rapid metabolizers of certain drugs & need bigger doseages.

80mg is the recommended max dose for Prozac. However, I was Rxed 100mg until it finally pooped out. Now, I am on 30mg Lexapro and am unipolar depression free.
