> Hi, I'm new but have been posting to psycho babble for a while regarding lexapro. Decided to try it, thinking that weight gain was from ad. Was on 40 mg paxil prior. Weaned on paxil, went through withdrawal had major anxiety, didnt feel depression, then on 10th day off paxil started lexapro. Fell into depression due to being off any kind of medication, whole time on lexapro, didnt eat, dr had to give me remeron to eat and sleep. hit max dosage my dr will dispense 30 mg, and still not out of depression. Decided to stop lexapro as it is not helping with depression. I am starting the lexapro weaning process right now and need support. The paxil process of weaning was exacerbated by a car accident I got into so that made things even worse. I'm on a much quicker weaning schedule than on the paxil and will hopefully be off of it in 15 days. I will then go back on the paxil because it was working before we started this whole mess. I am terrified of going through the fire again, thinking all those anxious thoughts and wishing I was dead. I would like to hear from anyone who has gone through a non successful medication change and then had to change back, I just need some hope.

I just went through a unsucsessfull med change and went back sucsessfully. I was taking 60 mg celexa and decided to try remeron in the hopes that it would creat a sex life for me. Well the remeron was awfull, I was tired and sleeping and poping caffine all day, couldn't even get off the couch. So I just stoped the remeron and started my origional dose of 60 mg celexa again. Ever since I'm feeling better and better, full of energy and thinking again. Did the same thing last year switching off zyprexa to Abilify for 2 weeks. That was horrible so I switched right back. Guess I've leared that there are no better substitutes. I was nice to try, and sort of a change, that woke me up. And I feel much better about taking the origional meds now.
This is the end of the thread.
