Hello,
I am new to the forum and from what I have read there is a lot of great personal experience to draw from here.
I have been diagnosed and in treatment for bipolar 2 for several years, mostly with medication. Lately, it has come up in therapy that 'maybe' I have borderline personality disorder. I have asked, but I cannot get a decent answer as to how one distinguishes bipolar from BPD. I definitely have almost all the 'classic' BPD signs, but I also have most of the classic bipolar signs. Anyone diagnosed with both? Are there any more comprehensive tests I can ask for that might narrow it down? Thanks to all,
Melina

If you search around on the net there are alot of articles on bipolar and borderline. They are sometimes hard to tell apart. Are you taking medication for bipolar? If you are and it is not working there is the possibility you are borderline; although you can still be borderline. Search around though there is alot of info out there comparing the two. terrics p.s. This should be on psychobabble.
This is the end of the thread.
