I am stressed beyond the max and just started abiflify for psychosis (in addition to risperdal) and I don't know if I am getting ideatation (STRONG ONES) from the the abilify or if it the stress doing it. I have been on it for 2 days now. Any thoughts?

hi,hundredhugs, I don't believe I have ever had psychosis but I do know that some of my anxiety states made me alsmost feel that way. I only was given abilify for about 5-7 days while in hopsital then discontinued it....I will say this ....were you having strong suicidal ideation before you started the abilify? if it's really bad DO NOT HESITATE to go to the ER. Otherwise I would call your pdoc asap and see whats up. I feel bad for you and hope you find the right answers very soon!

I agree that Abilify made me feel worse. I didn't take it long enough to find out about suicide. But it was going in that direction.

abilify + me = ANXIETY
Can you try going off of it for a few days and see how you feel? If not, I really think you should talk to your pdoc.
I only take it because with my CFS and psych issues, it's the only way to get off my butt and do something once in a while.

Hi,
It could--antipsychotics can cause unpredictable effects sometimes. Abilify is so new not much is known about it. Talk to your doctor ASAP, and see if you can take only one AP at a time. Mixing Risperdal with Abilify might not be a good idea, and I don't see why it would be necessary.
