Anyone have Adderall make them depressed?

seems weird. but adderall actually makes my depression worse --where in the past it made it a LOT better.

Now, it makes me very anxious and depressed.
Why the major turn around? What has changed? Any ideas?

What other drugs did you take in the past? And what other drugs now?

Been on all ssri's except paxil. Effexor. Remeron up too 45 mgs. Ritalin, dexedrine. Klonopin for a while as well as ativan. Currently take low dose nortriptyline and Ultram for my depression.

I took adderall for 3 months and it literally reversed itself on me and did the opposite of what it was doing! It made me happy, 'undepressed' motivated and basically noraml. Now I can't recapture it. It just makes me feel horrible, depressed and anxious and very jumpy.

Have you taken a "stim. break" from the Adderall since starting it? Sounds like you've built up a tolerance to it (happens alot w/stims.). May I ask why you are taking it? What dosage? Really sounds like you need to take a break from it. Sometimes all one needs when taking a stim. is to stop is for say....weekend breaks then your tolerance goes down again. Hope that made sense.

I had a major crash after a few enjoyable weeks of bordeline mania on Adderall. It was one of the worst depression periods I've ever had, and that's saying something.
