I love wellbutrin, i have had much sucess! i hate drugs but it has really helped. i was taking other drugs as well for a time the other half of the time i have been on wellbutrin alone. i think i have been on it 2 years but i don't recall for sure. the only cons ive noticed are a sped up feeling in the beginning and i think it has caused some anxiety in me, not sure? but it is helpful. i haven't had any bad experiences with it that i can think of right now.
good luck with it :)

As with dragonfly, Wellbutrin can give a sped up feeling (jitteriness), especially when you first start on it. For that reason, some people don't use it by itself. Many people, including myself, use it along with another antidepressant. Wellbutrin works very well along with my Lexapro.

I just started taking the regular version again after having taken about a 5 year break from it. I am BP II and a lot of depression has lifted and energy is back just at day 2!

Yes i took Wellbutrin in the past. I've had great success with it. I was in a bipolar depression and i needed a great punch of energy. Side effects: constipation and a massive augmentation of the libido (well, too much it's too much ;-)

Wellbutrin is *great* for:

1- The bipolar depression (minimal risk of switching).

2- ADD

3- Treatment resistant depression (conjugated with Effexor).

Wellbutrin is *good* as:

1- Add-on to an SSRI (help to get rid of lethargy, lack of interest and sexual dysfunction)
