i have taken klonopin in the past. From what i can remember i was told to cut the tablet in half and as far as side affects, it only relaxed me and made me want to sleep. I hope this helps.

I currently take 8mg of Klonopin each day. I usually divide it into a 3mg dose at 6:00AM and 6:00PM along with a 2mg dose at noon. I've been taking it for about three years (sometimes at even higher doses, and sometimes along with other benzodiazepines, like Xanax, Ativan, and Valium). I've never had any memory impairment.

Sure you have. You just don't remember.

Klonopin is easier on your memory than anxiety » JREY

Hello,

I have stuck with the lower doses - currently 2 mg.

I can say that anxiety is much harsher on my memory than is Klonopin, at any dose. When I was unmedicated one time, and at the height of my panic disorder, I was eating out at at restaurant. When it came time to pay, I was so spaced out, that I simply put my whole wallet on the tray and got up and left. Good thing my perfectly sane wife was there.

Klonopin is much easier on your memory than is chronic stress.

Titrate up to the dose you need and don't worry about the memory probs. Subjectively, my memory has improved substantially. Also, my grades in dental school improved markedly (*lots* of memorization).

Best,

Matt
