Hi, I've had some sort of an allergic reaction & I'm just trying to define it. I have an appointment late next week with a dermatologist but I really think it is a reaction to LAMICTAL or ZARONTIN. Can anyone describe the rash they got from Lamictal? Location, type, etc...Mine seems to be isolated to my face, it is red with small bumps mostly on my cheeks, under my nose, around mouth, & on chin. It itches somewhat. This is word for word in the product info pamphlet on Lamictal:If you experience a skin rash, hives, fever, swollen lymph glands, painful sores in the mouth or around the eyes, or swelling of the lips and tongue, tell a DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!
I would call a Doctor NOW, page your doctor if you can, if you have some sort of emergency number. If not get to a clinic or hospital. Or at least call one and describe your symptoms and let them know the meds you are on.
I haven't experienced a rash yet and don't know what to tell you first hand, just what I've read and heard, you can't be too careful with this stuff. It may turn out to be nothing but then again...for your peace of mind. Do NOT wait until next week!!
