I'm hoping that someone out there can answer some questions for me regarding Lexapro. I am currently taking 100 mg of Zoloft and 125 mg of Wellbutrine, however my pdoc wants me to try Effexor XR. After reading about Effexor, I'm a bit afraid of the side effects so I called a family friend who also happens to be a pdoc. She recommended that I try Lexapro as it seems to have less side effects than Zoloft. My biggest complaint regarding Zoloft is anorgasmia and being tired a lot. Has anyone experienced these se's on Lexapro? I have a friend who is taking 10 mg's of Lexapro and she loves it...says she has no sexual dysfunction and that she has energy and feels no depression at all.
Since this is a fairly new drug I am hoping to hear about others' experiences and side effects.
Thanks!

I switched from 300mg Effexor XR and 400mg Wellbutrin to 10mg Lexapro and I love it. I am having the same experiences as your friend relative to the energy I have and I feel the best I have in a long time.

I've been taking 5mgs of Lexapro for about four months and am feeling great--no depression, anorgasmia, night sweats, or nausea (and I'm less anxious). I felt a little sluggish the first few weeks I took the drug, but that effect seemed to wear off as I adjusted.

How long were you on the Lex when you began feeling a great deal better mood-wise? Also, do you have severe depression or was it more mild? Thanks!
