I went to P-Doc

He left the lex at 30 and added trileptal.. He said I could try topomax if I wanted . I told him to pick I need to lose weight and I wanted to see how I did with topo. He said he is seeing some weight loss with trileptal also. so one step at a time Thanks for your replys

sorry to sound uninformed, but can you please tell me what a p-doc is?

 

I call my psychiatrist my p-doc for short..lol (nm)

"Pdoc" (on this board) is usually slang for psychiatrist, or psychopharmacologist. There was some confusion a while back, when someone used this term to describe their primary care physician (GP or internist), but this was quickly corrected, and you can almost always assume that pdoc = psychiatrist.

Generally, "PCP" is the accepted term for primary care physician, and "GP" means general practitioner. Most of these have minimal psychiatric training -- I'd stick with psychiatrists if I were you.
