I am about to start an MAOI (Parnate) and I would like to know if I can drink protein shakes while on the drug. Specifically, the shakes that I drink are for weight-lifting and the protein they contain is whey protein. Anybody know if this will be an issue?

I have used protein supplements with Nardil and Parnate...and specifically whey protein (I think it was MLO protein, weight-gainers 2000...or something like that)
Reactions vary from person to person, just because I have never had a problem doesn't mean you won't.

Can't answer your qstn, but I can tell you the diet was a joke. Didn't restrict/bother me at all.
Your a smart dude - you choose Nardil. Just lay back and watch it blow the ass of your depression and anxiety!
Ace.

Don't know about whey, but I take Spiru-tein with Parnate (never any problems). But you do have to be careful with some of the shakes out there. Ask your p-doc if not sure.
This is the end of the thread.
