I just started taking 25mg of topamax, in addition to 150mg of effexor, for panic attacks. I also take xanax for emergencies. I went to the ER (for the fifth time in a year) for a panic attack. I will eventually go up to 100mg of the topamax. I haven't seen anything on this board about effexor and topamax. Any insight?

i hope this helps you...
topamax made everything worse for me...but at the time i did not see it..i took it with wellbutrin,seroquel,thyroid replacement...
when i took effexor...nothing..no side"effexors" no benifits...
be real careful..keep contact with your doctor...topamax can be a life savour..(i cant take lithium)but..as all meds...may really cause harm...
