This whole long weekend (in Australia) has been a bitch for me.
First of all the derealization has increased along with it phobic anxiety. Of course, Nardil won't allow any depression.
Now, I don't know what is causing this...Lithium?
But since I've been back at uni there has been too much D/R and phobic response.Lithium has done zilch....30 mins ago I made the decision to boot it...as of now (no evening dose)
But the whole weekend I have been obsessing out of Anafranil and Parnate. Can't stop thinking. And this obsessing isn't conducive to rationality!
But here is the verdict...Yesterday I dropped Nardil from 90mg to 75mg (Already feeling the zaps today).
Every 3 days I drop by 15mg and then 7 day washout...then...PARNATE.
I think this is a better option for the moment.
Please tell me what you think,

always remember it is okay to have a bad couple of days..or weekend..
treat yourself well and mabe once and awhile "ride it out"see what happens,,everything can alter the way meds effect us,,
foods we eat,,air we breath,,music,,moods,,
..i just hate seeing you so worried..

Some say that SSRI's (what was it you're using) ?cause a downreulation in the norepiephrine system. Then upon withdrawl, all this extra noradrenaline can act funny at site that have
been chronicall used to less. It really doesn't last forever. The brain really does adjust.You notice the zaps happen at a time when you turn your head or perhaps when someone surprises you? This is when norepineprine activity directs attention to the apparent stimulus.

Have you ever really tried Anafranil?
I once have been taking it and stopped it due its _huge_ anti obsessive effect (I dont have OCD, just depression). It was like it totally broke my will to do something. But worked pretty well for depression, unlike nearly everything else. The SSRIs never had such a huge anti obsessive effect for me. Anafranil is also believed to have a big indirect anti dopamine effect. (pushes dopamine down)wish you the best

Thanks, I think I get it. I mean I know I've had them, but when I hear the term over and over I start to lose a feel for what it really means: like is it a sudden dizziness, light sensitivity, feeling like there's a "short" in your brain, like you're gonna pass out...? I guess maybe it's a variety of individual sensations--how fun for us.
