just looking for some support. My life up to this point has been up and down up and down. I'm on meds but i don't think they are helping. i feel like i am the only one on the world who is alone. i take care of myself, except for my weight and i smoke cigarettes. i'm just looking for someone to understand. is this a good place to start? roxy

Hi Roxy! I think a lot of people here will understand -- probably more than you would imagine.
You don't have to answer these questions, but they came to mind when I read your post: What med(s) are you on? What is your diagnosis? How long have you been getting treatment, and how long do you think it's been ineffective? Do you have a regular psychiatrist? therapist? I just ask all these questions to figure out what kind of help is best for you.
We share information here about our med experiences, so you may find out about something that you can bring up to your pdoc. And you can always post about whatever is on your mind concerning your treatment (or lack thereof). Someone or other will respond. And feel free to read all the other posts if their subjects look helpful -- usually they are.
