Ive been on 30mg of Nardil for one week, and tho i dont feel depressed in the way i used to, i do not feel well. Has anyone experienced a general feeling of sedation and detachment on Nardil? I hate to complain, but this isnt much improvement over depression.

Hello,
I felt like you did. I was on 15, then 30, now im on 60. When I was on 30 i remember feeling dizzy and sometimes detached. I think the dizziness precipitates the detached feeling, at least that is a hint. It is more common if you are anxiety ridden as myself. Also the blood pressure can lower which causes the dizziness.

I can't believe this! Everybody is so impatient! Patience my friend! The first time I raised my dose to 45mg (I think it was that) I was a zombie - a lot of cognitive dysfunction. It took a while to pass. And it took 6 weeks (4 of them on 60mg) to kick in.
Just wait because when it kicks in, it sounds that it definately hasn't, you'll know it big-time.When I raised it to 90mg, for about a week, after my last dose, I was conked out -- sleeping all the time and very sedate most afternoons (I actually loved this but!) Just give this fine drug time. Any more probs ask me.

A foggy or spacy feeling is not an unusual side-effect upon beginning a new drug or upon dosage increases. Nardil treated me this way early in treatment. I dissipated within a week or two.
As suggested in another post - patience.
