I've known for years something was wrong but thought I was just losing it till one night I ended up with a full blown panic attack, thought I was having a heart attack. Went to the E.R. and
at first was treated like I was having reaction to substance abuse. When that proved negative I was told I had a panic attack. Been under a lot of pressure and was drinking heavily that night.
They gave me zanax and told me to see my doctor.
To make a long story short he put me on paxil and within weeks I felt 100% better. Well two years later I decided to try something else so started
lexapro. I dont think it is as good and even considered going back to paxil but the side effects bother me. I cant believe what I've read on this site and the number of people that suffer this problem. I am a 45 year old man and believe I've had this condition since Junior High. I will stay on lexapro for a while and see if I get used to it. I could type a letter a mile long about how this has affected my whole life so thank God
for modern medicine and internet.
This is the end of the thread.
