Do any guys who have taken the plethora of other anti-depresants have anything positive to say about lexapro and sexual dysfunction for once in the history of the anti-depresants or should I not bother trying it? I have depression but i'm not taking anything. I'm just getting good at coping with it. It's still pretty bad though. If there's any chance of a new medication with less side effects than paxil but just as effective moodwise, I'd like to know if its worth trying.

Very few young MEN Get impotency,, ejaculation problems on TCAs!
They have other side effects, which you probably know of,, Desiprimine and Nortriptyline are the least sedative,, (this is an established fact) and who needs daytime sedation
GOOD Luck in your 'hunt" buddy

I'm female, but I've really struggled with the sexual side effects on these drugs. For what it's worth... I had no sexual side effects on imipramine and sam-e. Sam-e can be expensive, though. Have you considered these? As far as TCA sedation, I was zonked on nortriptyline and fine on imipramine.
