I took mirapex for body movements, which it worked great until i increased the dosage. I also have anxiety/depression. The mirapex turned me into an irritable monster, which many AD's do. But everyone is different. I say no harm in trying.

BEST WISHES

Hi there,

I take Amisulpride, which is very similar to Sulpiride, and I think it's great. I've never tried Mirapex though.

Amisulpride does provide me a strong anti-anxiety, antidepression, prosocial kind of effect. And for me it works quick, like day two.

Of the two meds you mentioned, I personally would go with Sulpiride or Amisulpride before Mirapex. I've read about Mirapex's side effect of suddenly falling asleep. I drive a lot. Not cool. :-)

Thanks for the posts. Ive tried amisulpride at 50mgs a day for at least two weeks and got nothing whatsoever, just like95% of the other drugs Ive tried. The benefits you described from amisulpride are exactly what I need, but nothing does it. Tom

Try searching PB... there was a lot of discussion of these (as well as amisulpiride) a couple of years ago - if I recall correctly.

My recollections are a bit foggy, but for me, amisulpiride made me feel terrible, while sulpiride (low dose... 50/100mg maybe? don't remember exactly) helped a little. Pdoc wouldn't let me try mirapex.
