Strange silly question but...
I took just 2OO mg of depakote just to calm me down a bit because wasn't sure if I'd missed a dose(later discovered I hadn't)..the dose has been reduced from 900mg to 600mg because of neurontin dose increase and awaiting blood test.
It was a trippy~acid night: )..not that I'm complaining it was pleasant but I live alone who knows what I'm capable of doing unsupervised: )..
How can an xtra 200mg mood stabiliser do this -unless it's increasing the effects of effexor?
Or maybe coincidence- just a natural/mood disorder high?

>Hi, not a silly question. If you *didn't* feel calm and added more Depakote and felt better you probably were having symptoms of a mild mixed episode (which Dep. works very effectively for). There are times I increase the dose (in the high part of my cycle) for a day or two and it takes the frazzled, overenergized feelings down a notch or two and I feel less depressed because of it.

Hey Mitchiebabe...
I can always count on you to answer my post : )
I had mild hallucinations with stereo sound but no paranoia , I was on a different planet--just lying there like a druggy...the xtra depakote must of worked as I feel less high today.
Doc suggested I lower my 225 mg effexor but I'm afraid --not of withdrawal but of the urge for alcohol returning.
One day I'll get the combo right.
Thanks...and hope you enjoy the holidays.

Happy holidays.. Mitchiebabe
