Ok....I finally found a drug that I love and cherish (Lexapro) and everything seemed to be going fine...until...a few weeks ago I popped up with this BAD BAD BAD rash that was itchy and annoying and GROSS. Wellllll.....I didn't know WHAT it was until I went to the doctor today and he said it was SHINGLES! WTF?!? I AM ONLY 18 YEARS OLD! OLD PEOPLE GET SHINGLES, NOT ME! So now I feel like I have had a setback in my Lexapro feel-goodness. No wonder I have been feeling like crap the past few weeks! On top of everything else, I now have the appetite of a horse! I have gained like 15 lbs in the last month and it's not getting better.
OH and I had to have a steroid shot today...MAN did that hurt afterwards...my whole leg and hip were just SCREAMING pain.
OK I am done now. Sorry everyone....I just feel crappy right now and it seems that every time I start feeling better something else happens and it pushes me back.Mystia
P.S. I take way too many meds and have old people disorders...I feel really old right now =(

... I had shingles when I was 16; it's not exclusively an old people's disease.
I still remember what agony it was. I hope you will start to feel better soon.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only young person with it LOL I just had to vent a little because I feel like I am falling apart :) Thank you for the well wishes!
