Hello,
I keep saying this but it's so fustrating. At one time any AD I tried seemed to work and it did so very quickly (I know seeing what others go through on this site, that I was very lucky) because if they hadn't have worked I don't think I would have pursued with any others. Anyway, this time round nothing seems to work and I've had a really bad year and a half. I've tried Seroxat, Sertraline, prothiaden (all of these used to work really well) and numerous others. The mentioned drugs used to work so well but I stupidly came off Sertraline about 4 years ago when it did work and was still working well.
Now I'm starting to think, that's it, I've had my day (so to speak).
I know that there are others out there who have had the same experiences coming off a drug and going back on it again, those of you who have did you ever find another drug that worked again. I am considering trying Nardil but don't want to if it's going to be more of the same. I will try it anyway but why can't rationalise why Nardil would work when none of the others have.

You may want to try and give the Zoloft another chance. You may just need to increase the dosage.

I've been mostly on imipramine for 20 years. During that time of gone off it about 3 or 4 times, and gone back onto it with success each time. I don't know if that's a characteristic of imipramine, or all TCAs or just me.
Any way there are lots of medicines and combinations for you to try. One will work, it just may take some time. Make sure you have a good psychiatrist with experience treating TRD.

My friend has had this problem all his life;
dare i say it -- after about 20 drugs, i think
this one will work -- i am really hoping as
i have seen the ravages of inappropriate drugs
and what they can do; don't give up and try
to ferret out the classes of drugs that are
agreeable for you and proceed from there.good luck
