I am taking 300mg Wellbutrin SR daily. The Wellbutrin info says that extreme caution should be used when taking Wellbutrin with any other medicine that lowers seizure threshold, and lists "systemic steroids" as one example. My orthopedist wants to give me a shot of cortisone in my shoulder. Does anybody have any information as to whether one shot of cortisone, in combination with Wellbutrin, could lower seizure threshold?

Goto www.drugstore.com (thanks to who posted this originally) and goto the 'pharmacy', and use the
Drug Interaction Checker. You should ask your doc (all of them) to "double check" this also. It is a very real possible interaction.Best...
