Extreme Anxiety

Posted by Optimistic on April 22, 2002, at 11:52:59

I am on day four of stopping Remeron and I woke up today feeling EXTREMELY ANXIOUS and jittery. Is this from stopping the Remeron and how long might it last??( I tapered very slowly ). I am trying to control it with Klonopin and Xanax but still have the symptoms. Will it pass?? All responses appreciated. Thanks

Maybe you could try a alone or in combination Kava and Valerianc roots. If this keeps going on, you may need an SSRI for anxiety prophylaxis.

I think it's normal to have withdrawal symptoms from any AD that could last a week or 2. Before Remeron were you depressed? As you know, Remeron is for depression and anxiety but the other 2 are mostly for anxiety.

Yes ..I was taking the Remeron for depression. Except for the increased anxiety I think I feel better without it. I just wish the anxiety would resolve.
