Follow Up - Wellbutrin increasing anxiety

Posted by GoodFellow on February 14, 2002, at 0:07:32

Thank Everone that posted answers and discussions to my original post, Has anbody had increased anxiety on Wellbutrin.
The information was very helpful. I have been on Wellbutrin for three weeks now. I will be completely off Effexor in one week. I have noticed that my anxiety has increased slightly. However, I attribute some of that to worsening depression. So far the Wellbutrin hasn't seemed to kick in. I have noticed increased compulsion. Sometimes after getting things on my grocery list I continue to look at items I don't intend to buy, yet I have a hard time leaving the store. This was typical when I was depressed and not on Meds.
I hope I find the right medication or combination soon!
Take Care All!

Sorry your anxiety is increasing.

Please don't jump to conclusions that the Wellbutrin
will always increase your anxiety as there probably are
interactions with the Effexor tapering.

Best of luck with your medicines.

Hi there,

I also found that Wellbutrin increased my anxiety and actually made my depression worse, to point I was suicidal. I guess its not the drug for everyone ! Good luck with trying to find the right meds!
