Does anyone get Prozac headaches?

Posted by Katey on November 17, 2001, at 16:43:43

I dont remember getting headaches like these when i was on effexor (heinus punishment) or zoloft (zombie starts with z too, a connection?) its like a dull throbbing at the front of my head, accompnied by my head feeling very very hot, but not hot like a fever. has anyone experienced this on prozac or any other AD? just curious.

Yes, since i increased my dose from 10mg to 20 i have been getting really bad headaches and what feels like sinus pain, accompanied by a very sore throat and sometimes a runny nose. The headaches are the worst thing though, they seem to alternate between one side of my head and the other, my head always feels quite hot too, but i don't have a fever. I'm just hoping that they're going to go away eventually !

I do think I may be getting more headaches since I started Prozac. But usually they are very minor (and respond well to OTC's, except I take Tylenol now, not Aspirin, because I think I also bruise more easily).
Haha in my last post I said I have hardly any side effects! :-) Well, they are minor.
