Nortip Nausea is a Deal Killer

Posted by Shar on November 5, 2001, at 23:58:55

Oops, got up to 50 mg of Nortriptyline (Pamelor) and after a few days of not feeling great, got an overwhelming case of nausea/dizziness and will be halving the dose of nortrip as of tonight. Maybe I can squeek by on 25 mg.

Nausea is a deal killer for me. Spent nine months that way once.

Hi Shar. Let me know how the Nortrip is working would ya? My pdoc wants to put me on it, but I'm kinda chicken about TCA's. I'm just not in a good enough state to deal with a bunch of side fx especially GI/nausea stuff right now. TIA

Krafty Kid:

Will do. I might try and see if my pdoc will prescribe some 10 mg. caps for me, so I can go up to 35 mg instead of the big jump to 50 mg. I would like this to work out, and will try whatever I can think of before giving up. (But nausea...can't/won't tolerate it without a phenergan IV).

Can't tell now if it's working well or not at all, because I'm still not feeling so great. But, I will keep you posted.
