I've read some of the posts about Effexor XR and it sounds so simular to Paxil. I went to my doc today and told him that I wouldn't take Paxil again. Sounds like he prescribed the same drug in a different form. I'm to start out on 37.5mg of Effexor XR for a week and go up to 75mg. It sounds like a mistake for me to take this drug since I had such a difficult time on and getting off of Paxil. I suggested the BuSpar and he said it wouldn't help with my depression just the anxiety. I'm back where I started from, still a med that I don't want to take. Any suggestions? lrc
