I have tried so many antidepressants, and lately my psychiatrist has been going the "drug cocktail" route with me. I also have OCD. At high levels of prozac I am a total spaz, and at high levels of celexa I am a total zombie. Now I am on 40mg of prozac and 20 mg celexa plus 600 neurontin. Has anyone been on the same combination or had luck with another combination of meds? I'm just starting out on this regime and am curious about how common it is to combine 2 antidepressants. Thanks! I just started posting on this site but have been reading it for awhile. The info on it has helped me so much. Jodee

Combining drugs is a good idea for people who have not been helped by one drug. Give it a chance. If you don't feel much better in a month with this combination, maybe you should try a different doctor just to get a different perspective.

I had heard of the serotonin syndrome but didn't think I was on a high enough dose of either one. Why don't doctors warn you about this stuff?! My psychiatrist never mentioned it at all. I will definitely look into it and bring it to my doctor's attention. Thanks again! Jodee
