Effexor vs Zoloft

help anyone: I have been taking effexor for about 1 yr. and had a bad week a while back and so bad that I thought med's needed to be changed so doc started me on zoloft 25mg along with the 37mg effexor with the plan of getting me off the effexor...problem is that I am feeling ok now and do not know if this is good idea...I was going to start zoloft this am but did not....decided to get some input frowm you people first...any help is appreciated...thanks pedro

I dunno - If the circumstances have changed, then maybe there isn't any reason to switch meds anymore. I'd just call your doc and run it by them.

You got results at only 37.5mg of Effexor? I had to go to 225mg and that is not excessive for this drug. That's probably why your doc is not concerned about adding to the 37.5mg. If you've found a combo that works then thank God and don't change anything.
