Hi. I'm starting naltrexone in a few days for alcoholism (and depression), and would appreciate any personal stories from those who have taken it.
I know, I know, I should use the search function but I am so, so messed up and tired. Please forgive me.

Me too. Prozac stopped working and 6 days of 25mg Naltrexone added it's working again. For alcoholism the dose is 50mg or 100mg I believe. I like drink too, but it seems to take away your appetite for it, although I haven't completely given up yet. The only trouble with Naltrexone is the price

I took 100 mg of Naltrexone per day and had no side-effects with it.

I take 50mg/day of Naltrexone. It works well for cutting out the cravings for alcohol and also leaves you not felling drunk when you do drink. It also does have some mild AD effects to aid your current AD's. I don't have anything bad to say about it.

started the naltrexone this morning, 50 mg. i threw up a lot a few hours after taking it, but i'm not sure whether it was the med or having my pdoc pull me into the hospital last night.
