lorazapam and paxil

I have been taking 10 mil of paxil and 20 mil of lorazapam for about 7 months now. i'm looking for advice as to when an individual knew it was time to start weening off of the meds. was it dr.s advice or did the individual know themself. also, i'm looking for any info on the side effects associated with coming off of these particular meds as well as how one dealt with them. i'm trying to make a decision on my own, my psychiatrist and psychotherapist both haven't given me any concrete info as to these concerns. i personally believe that just with therapy i can continue to better my mental health. simply put, i don't want to have to take any perscibed meds anymore, however i fear that it might not be "time" yet. i've read many mixed reviews on both medications, and as an educated professional, i just need some info from anyone else that may have been in a similiar situation.

Staying on at least a year from the time the AD really started working is a good rule of thumb.
If you have had multiple depressions, 3 or more, this indicates depression will return if the meds are stopped. You should not stop meds on your own,
work in concert with your doc.
