This is a reversion to an old problem with this board. I don't remember what it was, but Dr Bob fixed it in the end.

The thread isn't loading, because the transmission is being cut off somehow.

Uh-oh. You know what I just told you? You can't find it, because we can't find it...

When I try to load PSB, it gets to the savoir faire joke, then stops. Is that what you're getting?

Yeah, frustrating, this partial loading thing.....

I envision the horserace from that thread halted in suspended animation (a la Jeanie or Bewitched).

Our humor damaged the programming code so badly that any silly thread too low on the list just fell off the bottom. Thank Heavens most of the Lump thread remains for Guiness to certify!

Is there any significance to the fact that it is "ire" that is missing from the last word appearing on PSB? I am referring to "savoir fa", with the letters i-r-e conspicuously gone!!! Someone has stolen our ire!!! Is nothing sacred? Are we not entitled to our ire? We, the babblers, have much to be ired about in our wretched lives, and we are entitled to a little ire once in a while!

Ironically, the thread about "savior faire" explains what this french phenomenon is---it is ireless existence, is it not? So, if "savior faire" is ireless existence, then what exactly is "savior fa"??? With the ire already removed from "savior faire", what are we to make of an ireless ireless phenomenon? Do two negatives make a positive? Is "savior fa" the opposite of "savior faire" ?

Please respond to this dire ire emergency situation!!!

Sorry, PSB got messed up, but it should be fixed. But it just got archived, too, so you may need to go back to the previous "period". The most recent post to that thread is now:

Sorry about that, and thanks for your patience,

Bob

PS: Any follow-ups on this thread should be redirected to PSB...

This is the end of the thread.
