Hi John, you sound really good in your posts! Are you still taking Adrafinil?

Nice to hear from you CarolAnn.

I have substituted Provigil in place of Adrafinil for a while to give it a good fair test. Though I was impressed with results during the first few days, it's a little early too make any judgements. So far I think I liked Adrafinil better.

I'm sorry your husband is showing resistance. But that is probably understandable, normal, and expected. It took my wife a long time to accept the fact that I wasn't really getting much better with all the doctors I had seen, the hundreds or thousands of dollars I had spent on them, and all the medications they sent me home with. She finally realized I was disappointed with results and could play this 'guessing game' of medication choice just as good as anyone else, except without the high fee. My field of choices was a lot more limited in the mailorder arena, but I figured once I had exhausted all those choices I could always return to a doctor at any time if needed. Haven't had to do that yet. I think I've avoided probably $1000 in doctor fees in the last year, and have been much better overall on my own medication choices.

In a perfect world I must admit I wish lived in California near Dr Jensen's office. He's the one person I know of who could get me completely well very fast, without any hassles of long trials or self medication. Without his help though, I have to admit I'm doing better on my own than I did with any doctors. Hopefully your husband will come to understand you are only trying to take care of yourself, to be better. It's not like you're asking for something special. You just want a chance to be normal. Sure, Adrafinil might be unapproved in USA, but it IS approved in quite a few other countries. And even our own Customs folks label it a "supplement" when it crosses the border into the USA. It is unapproved not because it's bad, good, safe, unsafe, or whatever, but rather because the manufacturer has not invested the millions of dollars required to pass through the USA FDA approval process.

John
