Hi,
I'm new to the board. I've been on the alt.support.depression.medication newsgroup for a while and can't take it anymore!!it's turned into a forum for antisemitism and white supremacy.

Tina - Funny you should mention that. I was surfing last night and found that newsgroup for the first time. It was fairly bizarre (understatement). I won't say we're better here (okay, I will say we are much, much better - we are family). Here we ignore some of the types of posts I saw on your former newsgroup. This is a safe place. If things get out of hand there is someone (Dr. Bob) who sticks his head outof the window and says "Kids...play nice !"
This place has some regulars who keep things going and the great resources of pharmisist Cam W.
(spelling does not count here ! Yea !) The graet thing that happens here is people taking X med can compare notes with other people taking X med. Plus a lot of support.james

I read both sites every day and this is much more of a family here at Dr. Bob's. Eric (Lostboy) has shown up here a couple of times but disappeared rather quickly when he couldn't evoke the response he wanted.
This is definitely a friendly place with lots of very knowledgable people.

That's interesting to hear. I think the "culture" of a place is the key. I do sometimes "stick my head out of the window", but really it's you all that keep it supportive here.
