Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)

Does anybody remember or know anything about The Black Box? or The Brain Box?
or TENS?

At my old methadone clinic Fort Help in San Francisco you could borrow The Black
Box for 2 weeks while attempting a detox. I never tried it nor knew of any one who
had. But I heard it felt like a low grade opiate high.
Supposedly you clip it to your ear lobe and it stimulates/causes the release of
endorphins.

I see these Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) boxes but I don't see
any alligator clips :o) just electrode pads.

Do these boxes really work? Any first hand knowledge any one?

Hey it's drug free...worth a try ay?
