Yeah, mine are a mixed bag. It's pretty personal stuff, actually, it doesn't seem like it but putting it down, well, here goes. Don't read if you're squeamish.
Here goes, eyes squinted because after all, nobody knows this stuff yet, not even me. Hmm. It's a long, long list, I can see that.
Two sets of eyeglasses with cases.
One purple vibrator. Batteries work.
Tampax.
A little commemorative liqueur glass with Q-tips and toothpicks in it.
Two magnifying glasses, one of which lights up.
On golden cardstock, a hand-printed note from my daughter to her first crush.
Clarins Eau Dynamisante moisturizing body lotion.
The silicone things I had made up in India for tooth whitening. You know, you put the gel in them and put them over your teeth? In a case.
"Udderly Smooth" Udder Cream .. don't ask ...
Several bottles of nail polish.
Yves Rocher Lavande Essentielle Advanced Comfort Cream for dry feet.
Ear buds for CD player.
Clarins Renew-Plus Night Lotion
Three highlighter pens, one each of yellow, pink and blue.
Nail stuff.
Swiss army knife.
Foot buffer.
A home-made card from the director of one of the plays I worked on.. on the front the quote is "You're one times one." - T. Williams
A little felt-and-sequined Native thing one of my children made.
One white cotton glove.
Pink wrist bracelet from set bought in India.
Two of those rubber-tip thingies for stimulating gums.
Small bottle of Clarins one-step facial cleanser.
Condom.
Tear-Gel
Three pens
Comb
Wish List, in an envelope
Watkins Menthol Drops
Access card from previous job - better chuck that.
Book mark from The Reading Habit in Panjim, Goa
Envelope from Mother's Day flowers this year, from eldest child
Small emergency sewing kit, never used and probably never to be used.
Flashcards from Medical Terminology course - just chucked those.
Ribbon from vase of Mothers' Day flowers as above
Small bottle Clarins cleansing milk
Avon Soothing Nail and Cuticle Soak
A quarter, just added that to the laundry money
Two nail bufffers
Scattered dried lavender flowers from last summer
A note from my daughter regarding her mouse
Band-Aid strip
Paperclip
Old watch that doesn't work, just threw it out
Watkins medicated ointment
3 bookmarks from the library
small tube of Clinique Happy body smoother
tube of Avon Advanced Mira-Cuticle
Four wooden sticks to shape your cuticles with
a red pen
a pink homemade valentine heart from my daughter
a set of foam earplugs
seven fake nails
one minipad
one straight pin

Gosh, your drawer must be way bigger than mine! I could never get so much into my drawer. Mind you, the duck takes up more room than you'd think...

It's nice that you have so many things your kids made.

Have you lost the other white cotton glove? Or do you think it will show up sometime?

Your list reminded me... I should keep spare batteries in my drawer. Don't want to run out of power at an inopportune moment...

That must be a pretty big drawer.

I've got papers and books stacked precariously on top of my nightstand. And now that my big drawer is empty, I need to figure out what to put in it. My top contender is slippers so I can throw away the rolly thing I keep them in now. But I also need space for the dog grooming supplies. I like to brush the dogs before going to bed. Hmmm...

I have a question, but I'm a bit hesitant to ask it here. We used to talk about these things on Social, but that seemed like a different time. Dr. Bob seemed cool with it, but I'm not sure...

Dr. Bob, where should such questions be asked? Health? Social? Relationships?

I'm not Dr Bob but I'd reckon if you ask your question here and it seems more relevant to one of the other boards it can always be moved...

Well... It's about vibrators you see.

A while back we had a thread here about them, and my therapist had suggested I get one and involve my husband with it and stuff like that. The Hitachi Magic Wand came highly recommended, so I gave it a shot.

And really, it was like being intimate with a jackhammer or something. Extremely unpleasant.

As it was my only experience, I was just wondering if they were all that way or if that one was known for being ummm... robust. Because I did see my therapist's point, and appreciated it. But ouch!

I have no bedside drawer

I guess all the stuff I need is just out in the open on the bookcase shelf.

I've never tried the Magic Wand. I can't say I've tried many... the one I have at the moment was a Christmas present from a friend two years ago and before that I didn't have one, so I'm a bit inexperienced! But I remember it took a bit of getting used to. I never thought it was unpleasant, but it felt a bit weird to be touched by something that wasn't my own hand.

Only the other hand, I just read a few things online about the Magic Wand and they all seem to say the vibrations are strong or intense. Apparently it’s designed to be a body massager rather than a sex toy, so I suspect you might be more likely to enjoy something designed for sexual play.

My vibrator has adjustable speed, so I can control it a bit. I definitely wouldn't want it on full speed to begin with, but maybe later on...

There's the whole penis thing going on too... Sometimes I don't feel like doing it with a pretend penis. Someone told me about this website: "www.emotionalbliss.com" where they sell vibrators that are apparently designed to maximise female pleasure rather than to emulate male genitalia. I haven’t tried any of their vibrators, but I’m intrigued…

Ahhh. Thanks for sharing that info with me.

Well, I suppose that's out then. My husband has a germ phobia and was only marginally ok with this one because it came from Amazon.com. :)

No point explaining that everything is hygienic. Phobias are rarely based on logic.

ooooo!

my virgin eyes!!

this is getting spicy!!!

I remember that we got my college roommate a "magic bullet" for Valentine's Day one year. We were SO sick of hearing her complain that she didn't have a boyfriend on V.Day. Well, we gave it to her, and she giggled, ran to the bathroom, and we heard a little buzzy, and she screamed, and giggled some more.

I asked her about it a year later..

"oh, yeah. that was fun. I broke it though.."

LOL

we used to go to the adult toy store a lot in college. it was the only thing open past midnight (besides walmart & Denny's). We got to know the sales staff pretty well :) They helped my friend out for his human sexuality final project. They donated a box of porn tapes. We had a lot of fun watching those senior year. Imagine HOW BAD a video has to be to be unsaleable. LOL

I think hitachi magic wand is rumored to be indestructible, but may have too much horsepower for many people. the little bullet model we got my friend was kind of cute, because it had a long wire, with a remote control. so, you could put it in place, and then go about your daily business... buzzing like a bee. :)

On Sex and the City they talk about a rabbit shaped vibrator that was all the rage. (season 3?)
