Consider me a "maybe". It's a little too early to plan but I can probably make it.

Head count? San Francisco May 16-17, 2009

All right!

If I understand, it's a definite yes for Dinah, Deneb, Lar, Daisy, Zen, 10der and who else?

And a probably for Tabitha?

Mel, I couldn't tell if that was a response to a poster or to going. Will you be there?

I'm sure I missed people. Please correct me if I forgot anyone, and we'll update it so that it will be easier for Dr. Bob to start the Yahoo group.

I'll tell you in two weeks if there's any chance. I'm flying to SF on Saturday (EEEEEEE......) (I'm not supposed to say anything bad, so I'll just say EEEEEEE.....)

If it goes well, maybe I can come-- depending on how it fits with Jeffrey's teaching schedule. Classes end at the end of April, but there are exams and graduation at the beginning-middle of May, so he might not be able to get away.

So I guess that's a sort of maybe for me.

Could you make time to set up a Yahoo group?

It may seem early to you, but really it's not. With the state of everything right now - i.e., money, fuel prices, etc., some people may feel better locking in reservations and so forth now.

Plus, I may (hope!) have a new job soon, and I need to be able to tell the truth when I say I need XX dates off as I *have* reservations for a trip, etc. I know it's a while off, but still....

It would sure be helpful if you do that so we can start sharing/planning.

Thanks.

It would certainly be much easier for those who might be interested, if they knew more about what was being planned, to decide to attend.

Sometimes, having concrete knowledge allows you to imagine the value of an experience, when, just having dates and locations, you might worry that you wouldn't enjoy yourself, or know what to do.

Having the yahoo group seems like a really good idea.

OK, I finally started the Yahoo group. And invited you all. Thanks for your patience, and for your enthusiasm!

I'm included in your list, but I didn't get an invitation. Could you try again, please?

Hey Lar,
Changed your email lately? He may be using an older one, but I would think the one you've used to register at Babble....

hmmmm....

No, no changes there. I got a babblemail yesterday, for example, so I know that my email is properly stored on the server. And I checked my spam folder thoroughly.

Thanks for the suggestion.

You'd better email him. He's more likely to see it sooner.

Did you not get an email invitation? I don't see your name in that post....he may have skipped over you inadvertently....he seems to have missed at least one other person, too...

I'd send him an email with "no invite received - PB -San Fran" or something like that to focus his attention.

I hesitate to post the name of the Yahoo group here; it wouldn't really help anyway as you can't access it until the owner (Dr. Bob) invites you.

They say patience is a virtue ;-) I'm not so virtuous on that front, though.
