Thinking of you - Seldomseen + TherapyGirl

Posted by wittgensteinz on January 27, 2009, at 14:43:16

TherapyGirl & Seldomseen,

I just wanted you both to know that you're in my thoughts.

Can I ask how you both are doing? I hope of course that you are both feeling a little better than you did the last times you posted but if not, just know you're still in peoples' thoughts here and you always can come and share how things are going and get support.

Take care and keep safe.

Witti

Thank you witti, your post is very very touching. I getting better I think.

I moved my therapy up a day, and THAT I view is a really good thing.

When I crash like that, it's a long way back up - but the good thing is, I'm really getting better at the climb.

THanks again
Seldom

Thanks, Witti. I'm hanging in there. I did see my endocrinologist this morning and they prescribed something to try to get my heart rate and blood pressure under control (they're really high due to the thyroid issue). Their hope is that getting my body systems to calm down will help everything else. I guess we'll see.

And I'm willing to give this a chance, so I guess I've stepped back from the cliff for now. I really appreciate your concern and your thoughts.

I agree, it is a good thing to be seeing your T sooner. It's good you can reach out to others when you know you need extra support. I hope it goes well.

I can also relate to the second thing you wrote - I've noticed the same. For me the ascend isn't quite as slow and difficult as it was a year ago.

TG, I'm very pleased you got to see your endocrinologist again and I hope the meds help with the thyroxine problems. From the symptoms I'm guessing you have a hyperactive thyroid? I hope that getting this back in balance does have a positive effect on how you feel mentally as well as physically. Of course life is never that simple - from the sounds of it, there's a lot going on for you to deal with but hopefully this will make things a that little bit more bearable.

I'm very relieved you could step back from the edge and into safety.

Thinking of you.

I'm glad you're feeling a little better. I found out that the hard way that sometimes what we feel is actually phsycial and not purely mental. That made me feel better because I felt I could do something about a physical ailment that was affecting my mood, fatigue, etc. That said, so often the physical does mess w/our mind and it's good to know the difference. Make any sense?

Glad you're getting the help you need and I hope you feel even better soon.

Thanks, Witti. I think it's interesting that you (correctly) diagnosed me based on my symptoms. I wish some of my friends were as aware of thyroid issues.

I really do appreciate the support, often more than I can put into words. You are priceless to me.

Thanks, Antigua. That makes total sense. If only my stupid brain chemistry didn't continue to blow up my life, you know?

Thanks for the support. I enjoy you. :-)

It was at his suggestion that we move it up a day. He had a conflict at my normal time (isn't that MY time - but whatever) and we either had to cancel or I go in today.

Obviously, I didn't think it was a good week to cancel, so i went in early. It worked out well.

Both of you seem to be doing a good job of taking care of yourself and doing what you need to do.

I'm really sorry you guys had such a horrible dip. But good work for calling your doctor and therapist.

I hope the physical issues get better for both of you soon.

New thread. Thats smart Witti. Stuff gets lost higher up.
Glad your feeling a bit better Therapygirl.
You too Seldom.
Its good to see you guys doing what you can to get thru this stuff.
I found it interesting as how, once we know we have issues mentally(eg depression), that as soon as we do a fall we assume its mental. I mean really its a biochemical imbalance anyways to start with. Hence meds. Then if hormones (especially!) are out of whack, well, that can really set things off.
So its a good reminder to me, to get my check ups regularly so as to hopefully mitigate any hormonal blowups.
(I am around THAT age...y'know, the big M...UGH!)
I am glad you two guys are both still here and i am learning from you, so thanks for poasting so honestly about your journey.
Best wishes for some steady improvrmrnts, and maybe for some good times ahead.
M
