he came back

Posted by sunnydays on July 10, 2007, at 20:32:08

My T came back today. We had a good session. Lots of good work. But we didn't really talk about how it was for me to have him gone because I didn't bring it up and there was so much else to talk about. I kind of wish we had been able to talk about that now. He thinks my mom might have borderline personality disorder, which was hard to hear. The descriptions fit my mom almost exactly, though.

I miss him a lot. There was a nice moment. I was feeling scared, and I just looked up and was just looking into his eyes for a long time. And he just smiled and said so gently, "I'm here." That was nice. And he said it was good to see me. I just miss him a lot. I want to call and leave him a message and say so, but I don't know if that's a good idea or not.

Hi Sunnydays,

Glad your T is back and the session went well. Maybe you could leave him a quick voicemail or email saying I missed you and I'm glad you're back? Keep in mind that I don't want my T to know I ever miss her, I know, an inability to accept help is crazy... Hope she keeps that promise not to read stuff I post here.

I called and told him he didn't need to call me back, so he won't. But I feel a whole lot better just having said it. And I'm pretty sure he won't mind. I'm still kind of out of it, as I got a little overwhelmed during the session. But he's back! :)
