What symptoms do you have? I have ADD and am not self-diagnosed, it was diagnosed early in my life, and I've had depression most of my life too, and anxiety disorders. Nothing has been easy for me. If you do have ADD and get it properly treated, it will probably improve your relationship with your wife as well as your teaching.

A list of behaviours and things in my life makes me believe I have ADD.
I think my mom has add.
wet bed until around 4th to 5th grade.
older brother wet bed too.
did poorly in school. I dont remember much detail of education. Had to tdo extra work outside of school to catch up.
bla bla bla enough about grade school times, ok to more things I cant spell very well cant remember rules
and to this day I dont know all my times tables even though I have gone over them with my students.
For now
I first started getting help this year from a PSYCH
because of anger I mean real deep long unable to get out of the anger anger. My wife became concerned because I would not hold our newborn son after I started the school year. Changed Grade level 3rd to 2nd. changed rooms and took the first 2 weeks of school off to be with family 2 girls 16 months apart 5 and 4 years old and son is now 6 months old.
I had been on paxil once befor for what my General called panic atack when I twas teaching 8th grade Aaaaaaaa
So my PSYCH started me of on the paxil and we went from their to the wellbutrin becouse of the sex aspect of Paxil so the welbutrin is to help with well you know....
I feel like I am calmer and a lettle more level headed and a little druged sometimes heavy leg I call it hard to feel atached to the body kind of.
but I have an apointment tomorow night and my last one was a week ago.
the doc says I dont shut up I talk to much thats why my students might be tunning out and she is probably tunning out too. I dont know maybe I have already lost you too.
anyway
I told her about how I hated sunday night in JR. High becouse I told the art teacher to take a flying leap off a bridge you Bi***. and I hated going to school progress reports for academics and behaviour in most of my classes. bla bla bla and durig the week every time the phone rang my heart stoped I thought it was one of my teachers calling tro tell my mom and dad How wonderfull I was in class I wish. My PSYCH says after this little story sound like add a little bit. well you need to stop talking because our time is up I think I will have to tell you that quite often. I kept talking ntil I was finished I demand people listen to me and let me finish Listen to me damn it. look no periods thats how I talk.
so short story long the last month I have bought three books on ADD and have been looking at web sites my fixatin lattly week and a half is finding teachers with ADD.book I am reading now and its starting to get boring is "Driven to Distraction".
oh theres alot more like work stuff .

Sounds like you probably have hyperactive ADD. The constant talking, getting bored easily, etc. Untreated ADD is devastating. I was not able to move forward in my career until I started taking Strattera. It makes an enormous difference in my ability to think about where I am and what I have to do.

I don't find reading books like "Driven to Distraction" very helpful, myself. "Healing ADD" is a little more interesting to me, because the author distinguishes between subtypes of ADD- the ones that are really important are the Inattentive and Hyperactive types. You might want to take a look at that one.
