the orthomolecular people are currently recommending 100-200 micrograms selenium per day for everyone, as part of their anti-plague nutrient cocktail.
maybe they really are on to something? I hope so...

Selenium is good. Venlafaxine hinders the breakdown of it though, so for me the 100-200 recommendation is too much. I had a high level, I lost weight and had good mood. Sadly, I had to reduce anyway. The amount in my multi vitamin seems to be the sweet spot. Selenosis is not healthy.
