Hi,
Does anyone know the best antidepressant to add to 17.5 mg of Zyprexa? I also take valium 2mg.
I am looking for something to give me a better outlook and more energy, but not cause insomnia or sleeping problems.thanks

Celexa worked well for me with zyprexa, although i had to add provigil, as antidepressants in general make me more depressed, go firgure.
BTW, have you heard of symbyax? It's one drug, but it's zyprexa with prozac in it.
Regards,
Brian

I was going to say prozac or wellbutrin as they sure upped my anxiety. So I'd think they would be good with downers so to speak. Phillipa

I would say Celexa with zyprexa. That combo worked great for 7 years or so. I take zoloft now and that is good too.

> LinkadgeGood question. Well my pdoc at the time was like, you're bipolar, you can't take ADs. And i'm at a new job, crying in the break room all of the time. i keep telling her, I need to add an AD to keep my job, as an AD allowed me to keep a couple other jobs (perhaps helps me handle pressure, i don't know). So it helped in that respect. But still at home, the celexa, or anything serotonin based would still give me an overwhelming sense of depression, and usually derealization, and even would increase obsessional habits. It was only until i added the provigil, where the depression finally felt better, and i actually felt in the present moment for the first time.
